hen Rachel Carpenter’s daughter asked if she could dye her hair hot pink the first time, Rachel said no.
Then just a few days later, catastrophe struck.
Last year, Rachel Carpenter’s daughter Nevaeh wanted nothing more than to dye her hair hot pink . b>
Rachel, though, was not into that idea.
The last thing her then-nine-year-old daughter needed was pink hair.
A few days later, though, Nevaeh was involved in a horrible accident . b>
She’d gone to camp that morning and participated in a demonstration involving fire.
Partway through the demonstration, something went horribly incorrect and Nevaeh caught on fire.
Counselors rushed Nevaeh to the hospital where she was treated for horrendous burns covering over 70% of her body . b>
While she thankfully survived the ordeal, she still regularly wears tight compressings to ensure her burns mend properly.
Needless to say, the accident and Nevaeh’s extended hospital stay during which she celebrated her 10 th birthday wholly transformed her mother Rachel’s outlooks on life and parenting.
So much so that a year later when Nevaeh asked her mom if she could dye her hair pink once more, Rachel said yes ! b>
Look at that smile!
Pink hair totally suits this champ.
With her mom’s approval, Nevaeh chose to dye her locks a gorgeous magenta . b>
We are altogether loving that color.
What a trend setter!
